Japanese conglomerate Kaneka Corp.

Japanese conglomerate Kaneka Corp. has inked an agreement to buy Israeli startup Endostream Medical, a medical device developer for the treatment of brain aneurysms, in a deal valued at about $100 million.  Following the acquisition, the operations of the Or Akiva-based medical device startup will remain in Israel and serve as Kaneka’s research & development center. Kaneka plans to keep Endostream’s 12 employees and hire additional staff to jointly develop devices for the treatment of cerebrovascular diseases that affect the blood flow to the brain, such as aneurysms and strokes.

ZOOM Conference – 10 OCT. 2024

Dear Members and Supporters,

ACD (Association for Cooperation and Development) is excited to invite you to an exclusive Zoom webinar featuring United Hatzalah, the groundbreaking emergency medical service team from Israel.

The webinar will take place on Thursday, October 10th, at 19:00 (UTC +2). Please find the flyer and invitation attached. To register, simply click the provided link.

Join us as we delve into how United Hatzalah’s highly trained volunteers, cutting-edge response technology, and community-driven efforts are saving lives across Israel every day.

The presentation will highlight two key aspects of United Hatzalah’s operations:

  1. Their day-to-day emergency response efforts.
  2. Their extraordinary mobilization during the tragic events of October 7th.

The speakers will first explain how United Hatzalah, with 7,000 trained volunteers spread across the country, operates as a life-saving force. Their decentralized, community-based model allows them to respond faster than traditional emergency services.

They will also showcase the advanced technology used by United Hatzalah, including their « LifeCompass » dispatch system. Powered by GPS, this system ensures that the closest volunteer is sent to the scene, allowing responders to reach those in need within three minutes.
